The Adobe Help Center that comes with CS2 software requires that the user has write permissions to multiple files/folders outside of user space in the folder:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData

To allow the Adobe Help Center function properly. The files vary from Adobe CS2 software to another. For example, to use the Adobe Help Center with Photoshop CS2, the following files/folders need user write permissions:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/htmltrans.xslt
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/supportedProductList.xml
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Kona_Launch.txt
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/.DeleteMe

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Cache/Photoshop/9.0/en_US/
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Cache/Photoshop/9.0/en_US/.DeleteMe
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Cache/Photoshop/9.0/en_US/help_content.css
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Cache/Photoshop/9.0/en_US/IDMap.dat

The following files are created and then deleted...

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Kona_Launch.txt
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/.DeleteMe
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/Cache/Photoshop/9.0/en_US/.DeleteMe

And for each CS2 application there are some similar and some different files that need to be modified.

One workaround, is to move the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobeHelpData/ into user space and then add a symlink to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/ to the moved folder.
